Shahrukh to sizzle with Shakira

It seems that after the reality game show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka,’ hosted by him was not as attention-grabbing as expected, King Khan has become quite concerned about the success of his forthcoming undertakings.

Well, the international gangster of Farhan Akthar’s ‘Don 2’ is up with some mind-blowing endeavors for promoting his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Grapevine has it that Shahrukh Khan, the celebrity co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, is all set to make a rocking music video with the Colombian singer Shakira, for promoting KKR.

SRK is also tuning up to sizzle with the bombshell in the upcoming music video, the making of which will start only after the actor is done with his shooting for ‘Don 2’, in Malaysia.

While the celebrated music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman will be compiling the song for SRK’s forthcoming musical venture, prominent Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be lending his voice to it.

SRK to promote KKR via social networking sites
With the IPL season drawing nearer, the Baadshah of Bollywood, who had formerly lost interest in social networking sites, is now looking forward to make the most of them.

Apparently, as social networking sites have become the most happening things in one’s day to day life, Shahrukh has appointed a group of individuals to look after the publicity of KKR on these sites.

Well, seems like SRK is going to leave no stone unturned for promoting Kolkata Knight Riders.

All the best Shahrukh!

The project stars newcomers Zoa Morani, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey and Love Aaj Kal actor Giselli Monteiro.

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly keen on working with Lady Gaga in his upcoming sci-fi fantasy film Ra.One.

According to Mid Day, the 45-year-old Bollywood superstar has asked Akon to persuade the 'Born This Way' singer to do a music video for the film.

Maintaining long hair is a real problem

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has donned a new look in the sequel of his film "Don", says it is a real problem to maintain long hair and wonders how girls manage them so easily.

"It's a real problem maintaining such strings of hairs attached. I haven't shaved for so many days. I have huge respect for women, but really want to ask them how they maintain their long hair," Shah Rukh told the media at the launch of a documentary his production house made on the 1960s epic film "Mughal E Azam" at the JW Marriot Hotel Thursday night.

Shah Rukh said he was waiting for the shooting of director Farhan Akhtar's "Don 2" to wrap up so that he could get rid of the wig.

"I wake up in the morning and have to set it. I can't take a proper bath. They had to be washed with care. I am really, really looking forward to the shooting of 'Don 2' to wrap up," he said.

"My daughter tells me 'Papa I want to take you for a bath'. It's a huge problem. No sooner than the shooting of 'Don 2' finishes, I will take out this wig," the actor joked.

Shah Rukh Khan is 'the busiest man in Bollywood'

Debut director Roshan Abbas has described his friend Shah Rukh Khan as the hardest working man in Bollywood.

Abbas is currently working on his first feature Always Kabhi Kabhi, which is being produced by Khan's company Red Chillies.

In an interview with the Times of India, the television host turned helmer said: "He has always been around on the sets. He is the busiest person on this planet.

"Even in the middle of that, he used to find time for my film. That's what makes him really interesting. He was there as a mentor in that sense, but he has not been a tormentor."

Graffiti, based on a play written by Abbas in 1999, is a slice of life drama set in a Delhi high school.

Shah Rukh Khan torn apart

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is going through the grind as he shoots for Ra.One and Don 2 side-by-side.

With him playing superhero in Ra.One, Shah Rukh gets into heavy costumes that make him lose weight. Unfortunately, he has to put on all that lost weight back on for his continuity in 'Don 2'.

It's this constant losing weight and putting on weight that has got SRK exhausted. But the actor says he's loving the process nonetheless, simply because the masses are going to be entertained at the end of it all.

However, with most of the shooting done for both films, Shah Rukh is breathing a little easy now. "He is working hard on the post production of Ra.One." The battle isn't over till the film is out in the threatres. Till then, Shah Rukh won't rest," says a unit member.

Shahrukh, Salman at loggerheads again

MUMBAI: Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan haven't been on talking terms since Katrina's birthday party in 2008 and it seems the fight will not end.

Imran Khan's wedding bash is indeed a testimony to this fact.
It is, indeed, very interesting to note that no actor has sounded apologetic about his behaviour and are firm on their stance of not talking to each other.

Aamir Khan's invitation to both the warring Khans meant at least a mere chance for the actors to bond yet again. But the actors were stubborn and defiant that it's hard to spot any chance of them reuniting.

Salman Khan entered the bash at around 11:45 to bless the wedding couple Imran and Avantika with brother Sohail Khan. Alas, his exit was as sudden and quick as his entry. In fact he was nowhere to be seen when SRK entered the premises.

The industry is murmuring about another loss of opportunity in burying the hatchet between the two. So, it remains to be seen whether

Fan spends USD 3,300 to meet Shah Rukh Khan

Mehjabeen Erum Alim, of Bangladesh, kept a patient vigil and spent a whopping 10,000 ringgit (about USD 3,300) over two days to meet Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan along with some other fans in Malacca.

She did realise her dream -- but the actor only smiled, gave autographs, posed for photographs and left, blowing flying kisses. Mehjabeen was told that he does not speak before shooting to stay within the character he is playing.

Khan, who is on a month's schedule to shoot a sequel to his earlier blockbuster "Don", saw the news of Mehjabeen spending big money on her vigil in The Star.

"Fortunately, he spotted us just as he was about to get into the car and agreed to sign autographs," Mehjabeen said, adding that she managed to draw his attention to the story in the daily about her wish to meet him. Khan autographed the news article for her.

"It is an indescribable feeling and I am so happy to have finally met him. I feel like I am in dreamland," Mehjabeen said after meeting Khan Wednesday at a resort in Ayer Keroh town.

Khan met her and seven other fans at the resort just as he was about to enter his car to go to the film location for his latest movie "Don 2".

Mehjabeen, 27, is happy, but not satisfied. She said she would still love to meet him again just to hear his voice.

"It was just a fleeting moment and he didn't say a word but merely nodded and gestured to us as he rarely speaks before filming so as not to come out of the character he is playing," Mehjabeen, pursuing her masters in business administration in Kuala Lumpur, said.

Besides taking home memories of the meeting with Khan, she said she was glad to have made new friends who shared a similar passion for the Bollywood heartthrob.

Immensely popular in Malaysia, Khan was conferred the title of Datuk, akin to knighthood, by the Sultan of Malacca in 2009.

'Ra.One' DVD to contain alternate endings

Shah Rukh Khan's next film will contain alternate endings when it releases on DVD.

The science fiction epic was originally planned to release theatrically with a number of climatic scenes, Mid Day claims.

A source told the newspaper: "Shah Rukh initially toyed with the idea of releasing theatrical versions of the film with alternate endings. But he soon decided it wasn't worth the risk and settled on the DVD option."

The actor is reported to have considered a range of possible closing scenes, and could not make up his mind as to which one to finalise.

"SRK has kept the making of Ra.One extremely interactive. He's taken opinions from experts as well as the layman and even his kids Aaryan and Suhana... However, when it came to the climax he was unsure how to end the story. Hence, the option of multiple endings in the DVD," the source added.

The project, which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, is expected to release at the end of 2011.

SRK, Big B & Dench to work together

It cannot get any bigger or better than this! Two icons of Bollywood and a heavyweight Hollywood A-lister are coming together to support the cause of education among the underprivileged in India.

Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Judi Dench will be working in tandem to promote education among the low-income groups of the country with the sole aim that when these kids become bread-winners, they will have a better life and in turn provide better opportunities to their children.

And bringing these top actors together is none other than the Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty. His foundation has been silently working towards bettering the socio-economic conditions of the poverty struck groups but he believes that the time has come to go top gear. "It is unimaginable that even in the 21st century there is rampant illiteracy in India. We are making our presence felt in the world and this aspect is something that should definitely be tackled. Along with economy and cultural boom, India should not be spoken as a country that is also illiteracy stricken," Resul told TOI.

He added, "Without Amitabh Bachchan's blessing, my project would have not started at all. He has helped me with funds and goodness. It is time to implement new things. Just when I was planning different things, Judi Dench came to my rescue. She had spent eight weeks in the country while shooting her Hollywood project in Rajasthan. She saw the rich and the poor and was touched by the work that we were doing."

According to Resul, Judi will play a very active role in the project. "Judi has told me to draw plans and just tell her what is to be done and she will try her level best to do more than what has been asked of her," he said. SRK's inclusion certainly bolsters the plans further. "I have met Shah Rukh while working on his movie Ra.One.

I told him all about our charity that is being supported by two big luminaries and he was more than keen to support. SRK is a silent benefactor and he too will be with us in this cause," Resul added.

Shah Rukh, Katrina in KJo’s next

MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan has scores of reasons to rejoice for. The actor, who bagged the prestigious Zee Cine Award in the Best Popular Actor category, will soon be seen romancing the dazzling Katrina Kaif onscreen. With the duo not having a single movie together to their credit, many top movie directors are now gearing up to bring the dishy pair together for a film.

And even though the infamous fight between SRK and Salman at Katrina’s birthday party had made her averse to sharing screen space with SRK, the fact that all leading ladies have romanced SRK is now persuading Kat to follow suit.

And that’s not all. As per reports, even Shah Rukh is keen to work with Katrina. Sources have revealed, "At Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash, Katrina was seen enjoying SRK’s company.

The two talked for a long time and there was hardly any sign of animosity between the two. Not only that, Shah Rukh even escorted Kat back to her car. She left the party with Karan Johar.”

As for the director that is working hard to bring the two together onscreen, it’s none other than Karan Johar. Well, here’s looking forward to this jinxed pair coming together.

Shah Rukh Khan 'to play Krrish 2 villain'

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly going to appear in a negative role in Rakesh Roshan's latest Krrish film.

According to Mid Day, the actor has been offered the role of a villain opposite Kites star Hrithik Roshan.

A source for the newspaper revealed: "Shah Rukh and Hrithik are the best of pals in the industry today. It was but natural for Roshan Sr to etch a role in his son's flick for his buddy as well. SRK's character in the film will have shades of grey to it."

The source added: "The Roshans have already sounded Khan off about having him in their project. And he has told them that he can be available only after the release of his production Ra.One."

Shah Rukh Khan back on TV with celeb game show

Film star Shah Rukh Khan is back with television anchoring once again with the new celebrity reality game show- ''Zor Ka Jhatak'' (ZKJ) on general entertainment channel (GEC), Imagine.

The show is slated to go on air in January 2011 end.

It is based on the ''Wipeout'' game show, which has been successfully aired across 22 countries. ZKJ will have 16 episodes spread across four weeks and slotted for prime time. The 30 celebrity contestants for the show include Ashima Bhalla, Claudia Ciesla, Dimpy Mahajan, Narayani Shastri, Vindu Dara Singh, Akashdeep Saigal, Amit Sareen and Karishma Tanna who will fight for the 15 final slots. There is no elimination in the game which has total prize money of Rs 1.5 crore, including winner's prize of Rs 50 lakh.

Khan, who had hosted TV shows like ''Kaun Banega Corepati'' and ''Paanchvi Pass'' will not only be the host-anchor, but will also be present live at the location in Argentina.

Interacting with media here today, Khan said he was glad to be back on television, from where he started his two-decade long career.

''The show will bring fun back to the Indian bedroom, where all the family still gather to watch television together. The show is a family show with a touch of naughtiness, where one can have a good laugh at other people's discomfort. My role will be that of an anchor, commentator and storyteller,'' he said.

Although, there will be no moral or social messages, the show will be dignified and clean. The show's universal appeal, the fact that it is in Indian language (Hindi), and having a 'popular' anchor will be factors that mark the show, the actor.

''I want to perform on different platforms, and my job is to entertain- the only thing I know. I even dance on trains when asked by the public. We are starting with celebrities, as the public knows their lives. Going by audience response, we may include participants from the general public,'' he added.

For Imagine, the show is entering the Hindi GEC with a bang.

''We plan to rip open the Hindi GEC and plan to take the fight to the enemy with this insane and over the top show,'' Turner General Entertainment Networks, owner of Imagine channel, CEO, Sameer Nair said.

Shah Rukh Khan visits Marina Bay Sands

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently visited Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, the venue of Zee Cine Awards 2011.

The actor is one among many other Bollywood A-listers like Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone who will grace the event with their presence.

Shah Rukh Khan will be back here for the Zee Cine Awards, a star-studded extravaganza to be held at Marina Bay Sands on January 14 2011.

The awards ceremony will bring India's leading artistes to Singapore to recognize their accomplishments for their performances in the Indian film industry throughout the year.

When asked whether he will be performing at the awards night, Khan humbly replied, "I'll be performing a little dance...that goes without saying if you're from Bollywood! But we're going to try and make it a little more creative, in terms of having some interactivity with the audience.... It'll be something from My Name is Khan.

"The songs in that film are a little more gentle, so I think they'll try and get a lot of girls to join in and make it a big event."

The reigning heartthrob stayed at a luxurious suite at the hotel and was mesmerized by the grandeur of the entire property.

When asked about his experience of staying at the resort, the Bollywood actor said, "I think it's fantastic! I just spoke to my wife and told her that it is one of the most fantastic hotels I've seen. Really wonderful. I want to go up and check the SkyPark, I'll take my kids up there to swim when I come back in January".

Come January next year, Southeast Asia's largest ballroom - Sands Grand Ballroom - will be transformed into a magnificent theatre infused with the opulence of Bollywood. To accommodate the larger-than-life setup, the stage is being custom-made from scratch and will be created for better viewing pleasure from every seat. Marina Bay Sands is ramping up preparations for this extravaganza.

In addition to the fast selling tickets for the event, Marina Bay Sands is also offering exclusive packages that combine attractive rates for hotel room stays and show tickets.

What Is The Bangladeshi Bust Story Of Shah Rukh Khan?

Shah Rukh brought smiles on thousands of faces in Bangladesh during his recent visit to the country.

He performed on many hit numbers and greeted the fans in Bengali but left two of his fans in tears! Well, before you start speculating something fishy, let us clear the point.

SRK was gifted two busts of him by the organizers of 'King Khan Live in Dhaka'. These two busts were prepared by two Bangladeshi poor students named Shusen (17) and Shamon (18). They wanted SRK to auction the busts so that the money from this can be used for their further education. But, the organizers neither informed SRK about it nor the poor brothers were offered a big amount for this.

Shapan Chowdhury, the chairman of the event management company in Dhaka, was quoted saying that they could not conduct the auction because of the time constraint so they gifted it to the Bollywood Badshah. Moreover, he accepted that they could not even inform about the boys and the auction to Shah Rukh. He said that they would offer some money to these boys.

The teenage brothers were in dire need of money and hoped to fund their education from the auction money. But the irresponsible act of the organizers left them in tears and hopeless. We cannot blame SRK for this because he was not aware of the development and took the busts to home. Now, when the superstar has probably come to know about the brothers through media, we hope he will do something for them.

'I had to do a film without Shah Rukh Khan

Farah Khan has insisted that she needed to do a film without Shah Rukh Khan in order to prove herself to critics.

The director, who had previously always favoured Shah Rukh as her leading man, chose to cast Akshay Kumar instead for Tees Maar Khan.

"For whatever reason, a lot of credit for my films used to be given to the fact that Shah Rukh acted in them. A lot of people in the industry want to pull you down, and they always said, 'Oh, her films run because he's in it,'" she said.

The director, who once stated she would never do a film without Shah Rukh, admitted it had been a very difficult decision to progress without him.

"[It was] very tough in the sense that it was an emotional decision. But in all other ways it was the right one. I knew that it was going to rock the boat and I could've just stayed in that position," said Farah.

While Farah stated that Shah Rukh initially reacted dramatically, she added that she hopes there has been no real damage done.

She added: "Well, things may go back to being normal. Of course - why not? There is nothing permanent here."
