Sofia Vergara clears 'skinny' Pepsi ad controversy

Sofia Vergara has denied rumours that advertising bosses had used digital technology to make her look thinner in a new advertising campaign for Pepsi.

She said that she looked slimmer in the photos because of a wardrobe choice.

The ‘Modern Family’ star is seen wearing a large blue hat and a revealing halter-neck top in the pictures to promote the drinks brand''s new Diet Pepsi Skinny Can.

The commercial, however, received criticism from critics and campaigners, who alleged computer wizardry was used to minimise Vergara''s curves, with a representative for The National Eating Disorders Association calling the advert ‘thoughtless and irresponsible’.

Vergara has now cleared the controversy, insisting the pictures have not been altered in any way.

“That is not true at all. I saw the pictures, and now with technology, they''re looking at it on the screen right after they take them. It was just a different way of dressing me,” the Daily Express quoted her, as telling the Boston Herald.

I will always look my age

Sofia Vergara has insisted that she will never go overboard with plastic surgery.

In an interview with Ladies Home Journal, the Modern Family actress confessed that while she would consider undergoing a procedure to "fix little things", she plans to grow old gracefully.

"A woman should never have it to look younger," she said.

"To fix little things here and there, maybe. To look a little fresher, okay. But you're always going to look your age."

Vergara also revealed the star upon whom she would like to model her own career.

"[I want to be like] Betty White. I love that she is so relevant and still taking risks at 89," she explained.
"I want to be her when I grow up."

Vergara 'can't sleep after boyfriend's crash'

Sofia Vergara has revealed that she has suffered from sleepless nights since her boyfriend Nick Loeb's recent car crash.

The Modern Family star told People that taking care of Loeb's needs at their LA home leaves her with little time to take care of herself.

"The worst part is not sleeping and me losing my beauty sleep," she said.

Vergara also asserted that Loeb is on the road to recovery, but it will be at least two months before he is able to walk again.

It was previously reported that the actress is developing a new sitcom with ABC.

Sofia Vergara "grateful" for large breasts

Sofia Vergara has admitted that she struggled with body image issues as a young girl.

In an interview with Self, the Modern Family actress revealed that developing large breasts early in life made her feel self-conscious and unattractive.

"I wanted surgery. I told my mum, 'As soon as I'm older, please take these boobs away'," she explained.

"She said, 'Sofia, shut up. When you're 18, it will be different'. I was like, 'Why would I want these huge t*ts?' I'm a 34 DD. It's hard to dress. No matter what I wear, I look like a stripper."

Vergara went on to say that her attitude towards her appearance has improved with time.

"I'm grateful I have them, and honestly, they've helped me a lot in my career. And I've always felt sexy," she said.

Of changing her hair colour upon becoming an actress, she added: "I'm a natural blonde, but when I started acting, I would go to auditions, and they didn't know where to put me because I was voluptuous and had the accent - but I had blonde hair.

"The moment I dyed my hair dark, it was, 'Oh, she's the hot Latin girl'. I loved it… Being brunette toned me down a bit."
