Paris Hilton brushes off USD 35m hair lawsuit

Paris Hilton has announced that the 35-million-dollar lawsuit filed against her has been dropped.

The 30-year-old hotel heiress said that hair-extension company HairTech has admitted that it got its allegations wrong and dropped the case it filed against her in LA last August.

HairTech International principal Chris Volek had complained Hilton was seen out wearing competitors' hair extensions and that she missed a launch party for its product when she went to jail in 2007, costing the firm 6.6 million dollars in lost revenue.

Hilton had strongly denied their claims and filed a 1.7 million dollars countersuit.

The socialite, however, insists no money has been paid to HairTech to drop the suit.

"It is certainly not unusual for businesspeople to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products," the New York Post quoted her as saying.

Volek said in a statement, "The information I received from others and on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate.

Who Stole Paris Hilton's Birthday Cake ????

Socialite Paris Hilton's 30th birthday cake was stolen by a Los Angeles musician, who crashed her party.

The hotel heiress threw a bash at V-Moda Fortress, a private house in the Hollywood Hills, Tuesday night and an uninvited guest Paz, who got into the bash through his "well-connected buddy Kevin", decided to take the three-tiered red cake after realising it wasn't being served to the 300 guests, femalefirst.co.uk reports.

"I woke up this morning with a USD 2,000 birthday cake in my living room. It's big. It's red. It says 'Paris' and its delicious ... At an inebriated moment I decided no one was going to waste USD 2,000 worth of anything on my watch. I had to rescue that cake," Paz posted on his Facebook page.

Paz admits he had to come up with a scheme to get the cake out of the house without any of the security guards employed realising what he was doing.

He managed to convince the head of security that he had been told to remove the dessert and was soon in his car with his unusual loot.

LiLo-Paris Hilton to fight in a boxing match

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton have been offered $500,000 each by Hollywood Boxing Federation promoter to take part in a boxing match.

Federation promoter, Damon Feldman, has singled out Hilton and Lohan as his next two celeb boxing contenders.

Feldman has said he will donate the proceeds to anti-drug and alcohol campaigns and would give them the huge fees for them to give to charity if the reformed party girls - who both have convictions for driving under the influence - agree to step into the ring.

"We're calling it the battle of the bad girls of Hollywood," RadarOnline.com quoted Feldman as saying.

“They would use big pillow-sized boxing gloves. This would be nothing more than a fun match-up, and Paris and Lindsay have both dabbled with boxing training in the past.

"Michael could even help train Lindsay as he is undefeated in Celebrity Boxing!" Feldman added.

Feldman believes the light-hearted match would be the perfect way to strengthen their friendship further for the sake of a good cause.

He told: "This is a perfect way for the two ladies to give back.”

It's probably a man's dream come true!

Paris Hilton 'sued by hair company'

A hair extension company has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Paris Hilton.

According to TMZ, Hairtech International is suing the heiress and claiming that she reneged on a deal to promote its hair extensions.

Hairtech further suggests that Hilton wore competing extensions in public.

The firm previously sued Hilton for $35m (£22m) and has now amended the lawsuit, alleging that she cost it $70m (£45m) in profits.

Hairtech also says that Hilton broke their deal by breaking the law and going to jail in 2007.

Hilton's lawyer has called the lawsuit meritless. The star has not commented on the amended suit.

Perez criticises Cheryl performance

Perez Hilton has criticised Cheryl Cole's performance on last night's The X Factor, suggesting that she fire both her choreographer and stylist.

The US celebrity blogger posted a clip of Cole's live rendition of new single 'Promise This' and declared that it "just didn't quite work".

"Chezza's performance left much to be desired, but it wasn't for her lack of trying," he told his followers. "We appreciate the mostly live singing and that she went for it with the staging."

He added: "She needs to fire her choreographer ASAP! The movement - hers and the dancers - was just not as good as it could have been or should have been! And while she's at it, she should get a new stylist too!"

Cole is seeking to build a profile in the States as she prepares for a potential role on the US version of The X Factor next year.

Paris Hilton refused entry in Japan

Socialite Paris Hilton was refused entry into Japan where she was scheduled to promote her fashion range after she admitted of cocaine possession before a Las Vegas court.

The immigration officers refused to let the 29-year-old socialite into the country. She was quizzed at Tokyo's Narita airport for six hours before being placed at the Airport Rest House.

"Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans," thesun.co.uk quoted her spokeswoman as saying.

"She is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed," the spokeswoman added.

Just hours before her visit, Hilton appeared in the Las Vegas court and pleaded guilty of possessing cocaine and obstructing a policeman. She was given a 12-month

Paris Finally Ready to Turn Over A New Leaf

Paris Hilton is claiming to totally be over the partying lifestyle, which has been responsible for her getting in all sorts of trouble. Her latest run-in with the law almost sent her to the slammer for one year.

The sentence ended up being suspended after Paris pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors. In exchange for her plea, she gets probation, community service and a ticket to an intensive drug rehab program.

There is one major catch, if Paris messes up beyond your run-of-the-mill traffic ticket, she will automatically get one year in jail. I don’t know about you but I can’t see Ms. Paris doing serious jail time. Her parents would probably try and ship her overseas if she ever ended up going to jail for that long.

As for Paris, she is telling everyone that is willing to listen that she is over partying all of the time and now is ready to settle down. Domestic bliss is what she is looking for these days.

Aside from a happy home life, the heiress also wants to spend more time at animal shelters and is planning on concentrating more on her business. Well, you know what they say, “the proof is in the pudding.” I guess we’ll just have to wait and see now, won’t we?

Paris Pleas Out of Felony Cocaine Charge

Paris Hilton was facing some pretty serious charges in connection with her recent arrest for cocaine possession. In fact, the charge was a felony, which would could have resulted in pretty serious jail time. Paris was busted on August 27th with less then a gram of cocaine in her purse.

Instead, it looks like she will once again dodge jail time. She agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors in the state of Las Vegas.

Rather then the felony charge, she plead guilty to drug possession and obstructing a police officer. Both of these offenses are misdemeanors.

This plea allows her to avoid consecutive six month sentences. She instead gets one year on probation, will have to pay $2,000 in fines and attend drug rehab. She must also serve community service, 200 hours. Those 200 hours equate to about 5 weeks.

Paris Hilton Shows her Cleavage

Paris Hilton is currently waiting on a trial date, and although some sources assure us that this time the rich socialite will end up spending at least a year in jail, she doesn't seem to be concerned.
Here she is, shopping for some make up, while dropping some cleavage in a dress that is just perfect for a nipple slip.

As you can see, Paris seems to be absolutely unconcerned about her legal situation, and she keeps on enjoying her life like if nothing had ever happened.

That's the good thing about having an army of attorneys backing you up.

Paris Hilton 'jealous of Kim Kardashian'

An insider has claimed that Paris Hilton is jealous of Kim Kardashian's success.

Hilton apparently feels threatened by her former friend and is trying to increase her own fame to compete.

The source told Now: "Paris is going nuts over Kim's fame and it's making her take bigger risks to keep her name on the radar."

Hilton was recently found in possession of cocaine and could face four years in jail.

The socialite is apparently intending to use her pets as an excuse to avoid going to prison.

Another insider said: "She's been joking about how hot she looks in her mug shot and Googling herself. She plans to use her 25 pets as another excuse to avoid jail."

When her friends argued that this is a poor defence, she allegedly replied: "They're very attached to me."

Paris Hilton Given Special Treatment by the Las Vegas Police?

Heiress Paris Hilton managed to make some noise again in Tinseltown after she was allegedly arrested in Los Angeles because of cocaine possession. Being detained is already considered common for the actress, but the news still stirred some whispers after news broke out that the actress/heiress was able to get in and out of the Clark County Detention. The usual charge process usually takes about six hours but Hilton was immediately released just after three short hours. As a result, speculators thought that the popular starlet was getting special treatment.

Fortunately, it turns out that ‘special treatment’ is not actually the approach the police was vying for. According to the Deputy Chief of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Jim Dixon, it is true that he did release the actress a little earlier than usual but not because he is trying to do her favors. Instead, Hilton was immediately discharged because receiving a popular personality in a police station usually disrupts the charge process of other lawbreakers due to the hordes of people trying to grab a peek of the star.

Dixon said that if he didn’t act like he did, he’ll be obliged to take care of more troubles because then he’ll need to ask for more officers to keep inmates and other people from Hilton. However, he promised that even though Hilton’s process was faster than the average, the starlet is still subjected to the regular booking procedures lawbreakers face.

Paris Hilton Owes $160,000 To ‘Pledge This!’ Moviemakers

We all know that Paris Hilton has bigger problems to worry about besides a flop of a movie that she has to shell out some petty chump change to. But, the makers of the movie Pledge This! have been awarded $160,000 after suing the heiress for $8.3 million.

She was sued after she failed to appear at promotions for the movie and now she has to pay damages over the flop. Judge Federico Moreno ruled that Paris was found in breach of contract after refusing to do interviews with Russian and U.K. magazines for the movie.

The judge said that Paris could be liable to pay the producers, Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc, the paltry sum (to her). He valued the lost promotional opportunities at around $160,000, but he will not finalize the ruling until he sees further documentation in her contract.

She’s busy with other things, I’m sure. Something about an arrest and possible jail time?!?

Paris Hilton 'thought cocaine was gum'

Paris Hilton has told police that she believed a vial of cocaine found in her purse was chewing gum.

The socialite was arrested in Las Vegas last weekend after her vehicle was stopped and she now faces felony drug possession charges.

According to documents obtained by US Weekly, the officer who stopped Hilton could smell "the strong odour of marijuana coming from the vehicle" and later allowed the 29-year-old to use the bathroom at a nearby hotel after she became "extremely embarrassed" by crowds gathering at the scene.

The policeman said that he discovered the cocaine - along with marijuana rolling papers and a broken tablet of Albuterol - when Hilton opened her purse to search for her chapstick.

"I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand," he wrote.

Hilton is said to have admitted that the Albuterol and large amount of cash in the bag belonged to her but denied knowing about the origin of the cocaine.

Paris Hilton 'faces felony drug charges'

Paris Hilton will reportedly be charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, according to court documents.

The heiress could face up to four years in prison if convicted. The standard sentence for the felony is one to four years in jail and a possible fine of up to $5,000 (£3,214).

Hilton earlier claimed that she did not own the drugs and that the bag in which cocaine was allegedly found was not hers.

Paris Hilton 'hires top Vegas lawyer'

Paris Hilton has reportedly hired a top Las Vegas lawyer following her arrest for cocaine possession.

According to TMZ, the heiress has hired attorney David Chesnoff, who has previously represented celebrities such as David Copperfield, Suge Knight and Vince Neil.

Sources connected to the case told the website that it is "significant" that Hilton was released from jail without posting any bail, as it suggests she could have only had a small amount of cocaine.

They added that Hilton might not have been the actual owner of the substance.

Chesnoff is said to have secured Hilton's release from jail just hours after her arrest.
