'Hannah Montana' destroyed family, Miley's dad says

NASHVILLE: Billy Ray Cyrus says the Disney TV show "Hannah Montana" destroyed his family, causing his divorce and sending daughter Miley Cyrus spinning out of control.

In a December interview published in the Feb. 22 issue of GQ Magazine, Cyrus said he wished the show that launched his daughter to pop stardom had never happened.

"I hate to say it, but yes, I do. Yeah. I'd take it back in a second," Cyrus said. "For my family to be here and just be everybody OK, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic. Heck, yeah. I'd erase it all in a second if I could."

Cyrus and his wife, Tish, filed for divorce in October. They have three kids together - Miley is the oldest - and two from Tish's previous marriage.

Billy Ray Cyrus said when he asked about the rumored video footage of his daughter smoking from a bong at her 18th birthday party in December, he was told it was none of his business. He refused to attend the party, saying it was wrong to have it in a bar.

Cyrus, a native of Flatwoods, Ky., had his own success as a country singer beginning in the early 1990s with his huge hit "Achy Breaky Heart."

Cyrus says in the interview that he tried too hard to be a friend instead of a parent to his daughter. He said he is scared for Miley and compared her current path to those of other stars whose lives ended tragically, including Kurt Cobain, Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson.

"I should have been a better parent," Cyrus said. "I should have said, 'Enough is enough - it's getting dangerous and somebody's going to get hurt.' I should have, but I didn't. Honestly, I didn't know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere."

He said his entire family was baptized before leaving Tennessee for Los Angeles to protect themselves from evil, and he believes Satan is attacking his family.

"It's the way it is," Cyrus said. "There has always been a battle between good and evil. Always will be. You think, 'This is a chance to make family entertainment, bring families together ...' and look what it's turned into." (Rueters)

Miley Cyrus voted 'Worst Celeb Influence'

Miley Cyrus has been announced the worst celebrity influence of 2010, for the second time in a row now.

The 18-year-old took in a whopping 58 percent of the 99,000 votes in the poll for AOL''s JSYK.com (Just So You Know) website, which has a target audience of 9-15 year olds.

While last year she beat Kanye West and Britney Spears, this time she has toppled Lindsay Lohan volatile "Teen Mom" Amber Portwood and punch-happy Disney star Demi Lovato.

First she was caught on video smoking Salvia from a bong in December, and then photographed lifting her shirt almost to her chest in a series of scandalous photos taken at a gay club, reports the New York Daily News.

In May, she was criticized after a video showed the then 16-year-old "dirty dancing" at a wrap party for "The Last Song" with Adam Shankman, the film''s much-older producer.

Her outfits caused quite a stir too - with the singer choosing to wear lingerie-like outfits during a number of concerts and writhing around in a bed while barely dressed for her "Who Owns My Heart?" music video, drawing the ire of the Parents Television Council.

Miley Cyrus: More Racy Photo Woes

Seemingly always involved in some sort of drama these days, Miley Cyrus is once again facing a photo leak consisting of a few racy personal pictures.


The latest offering contains no nudity while depicting the "Hannah Montana" star clad in a barely-there dress as her assistant pretended to delve in for a chest lick.

Miley's latest photo snafu comes just a month after the teen star made headlines upon being shown on videotape smoking a bong allegedly packed with salvia as part of her 18th birthday celebrations.

None-too-pleased with his daughter's actions, Billy Ray has let it be known that Miley's doings are beyond his control - as he's currently in the midst of separating from now ex-wife, Tish.

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus' new video in which she is smoking bong has been made public.
The video shows the 18-year-old purportedly taking a bong hit of the legal herb salvia, then delving into what she herself describes as 'a bad trip'.

The video has made her father Billy Ray upset, along with her fans.

"Sorry guys. I had no idea. I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now," the Courier Mail quoted her father as writing on Twitter.

The video obtained by TMZ was said to have been shot days after Cyrus turned 18 years old in November.

The celebrity website stated that sources close to Cyrus told the video was shot by one of Cyrus' friends but the substance was not marijuana, which is typically smoked in bongs.

The herb salvia divinorum has hallucinogenic properties but is not illegal in California.

The video made headlines around the world and has dismayed parents of some of the younger fans of 'Hannah Montana'.

Miley Cyrus' Grand Plans For Her Birthday!

Miley Cyrus had a great time on her birthday as she enjoyed to the fullest with her mother Tish Cyrus.

Miley danced with her mother Tish to mark her eighteenth birthday at a posh Los Angeles club. Miley has grand plans for her birthday this year. Miley added that she has rented a place from her friends where she and her mother has rehearsed dance steps so that they can perform on the big day.

Miley remarked that she practices dance steps with her Mom via a computer game but her mother always wins at the end of it. Miley also added that the mother-daughter duo practices a variety of dance steps and her gang of friends really enjoys when they perform together. Miley added "my mom left me behind, she scored 600,000 points yesterday while I just made 300,000". Miley will celebrate her birthday with her parents Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, though they have separated after seventeen years of marriage

Miley has a host of plans lined up for the entire month of November with Thanksgiving Day on the corner there will be a dual celebration.

The ‘Miley Cyrus Show’ Debuts on SNL

OK, not really. There is no new Miley Cyrus show and certainly not one on SNL (Saturday Night Live) but there was a parody of one last night. It was actually pretty funny. Vanessa Bayer, a comedienne on the show, did a dead-on impersonation of the teen queen.

She acted out the ‘Myley Cyrus Show’ skit alongside Bryan Cranston and Paul Brittain. Cranston played Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus and Brittain, Johnny Depp.

In the skit ‘Cyrus’ was super confident, extremely energetic and pretty self-focused. She also used the phrase “pretty cool” a ton, which may turn out to be a new catch phrase, akin to Paris Hilton’s “That’s hot.”Bayer captured the accent, down-homeyness and gravel voice of the teen star Cyrus.

Paul Brittain, a newcomer to SNL, played Depp quite beautifully, so good in fact, that it was easy to get him confused with the mega star. Both of the comedians did a fine job and if this is any indication of their acting ability and comedic timing, they may end up doing pretty well on the show and even perhaps create some classic pieces.

Miley Cyrus Gets A New Tattoo

Miley Cyrus was recently in Paris shooting the movie LOL, which features superstar, amongst others, Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.

After leaving Paris, she made her way to Los Angeles and brought with her one new addition.

The newest addition is a small tattoo on her pinky finger, in the shape of a heart. No telling if it’s real or not.

It looks sort of real but it could be a temporary one, you know those are becoming more and more common.

It seems that Cyrus believes in themes, at least when it comes to tattoos. She supposedly has another love-related tattoo. This one actually has the word “love” written out on her ear.

At least it’s not something faddish, love is always in style and relevant. Either way, if she decides to get tired of it she can always have it removed.

Miley Cyrus Gets A Warm Parisian Welcome

Having just recently arrived into town, Miley Cyrus got quite the warm welcome as she exited her hotel in Paris, France on Sunday (September 5).

Helped out by a gal pal and hotel staffers, the "Hannah Montana" hottie squeezed out to an awaiting car as a crowd of screaming fans chaotically attempted to get as close to the Disney darling as possible.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Cyrus is in the City of Lights to continue work on her new movie "LOL: Laughing Out Loud".

Aside from her movie-making endeavors, Miley also recently has been rumored to be planning a duet with fellow young star Demi Lovato.

This past week, Demi tweeted, "We talked about doing a duo together, like an acoustic or something. That would be really fun to do with her. She’s one of my best friends and she’s super talented, so I’d love to have her on the album.”
